Nick took me out to the new Sheraton in Chongqing where we marveled at the ostentatiously-scaled and gilt lobby, and enjoyed a special Italian dinner at Sapori. We were the only people dining so we had the place ourselves. Luxury has arrived in Chongqing, but perhaps it is a little premature.
