This weekend Nick and I did some exploring around Democracy New Village (民主新村) to see what there was to see. It’s a transitional space, with old hillside buildings butting up against the new development where village residents will be offered below-market housing in exchange for their land. And in the middle of it is this huge new road. The weather was starting to warm up, and we even saw the sun for a bit. It lured out a bunch of Saturday strollers, leisurely making their way down this temporary promenade. See the album for more.
